Monmouth Plantation, also known as the Monmouth Historic Inn, dates back to the early 1800s and has been to the home to many families. One of the inn's owners, General John A. Quitman, has supposedly never left. Dubbed as one of the most haunted hotels in all of the South, Monmouth Plantation is the perfect place to stay if you're a fan of paranormal activity. Witnesses have reported seeing the General dressed in full uniform and wandering around the grounds, inspecting things. Others have reported being woken up by the General checking on them in their rooms.
