The Deason home has been reported for housing as many as five different spirits. The Deason house is also notable for its Civil War history. During this time, Major Amos McLemore, a man who was tasked with hunting down deserters, was killed on the front porch. His ghost is believed to haunt the Deason home. The Deason house is now a historical home and provides tours of the property.
